Pizza Hut isn't necessarily a cutting-edge brand, but their recent Halloween-themed email that went out on Oct. 25 at 4 p.m. worked both it terms of family fun and encouraging clicks.
The subject line beckons with "Scary Good Secret Deal Inside," but unlike most email offers, Pizza Hut refuses to tell you what that deal is! Instead, you're treated to a spinning skeleton arm and the language "TREAT IT IS! CLICK TO REVEAL YOUR DEAL." All of this is set against a fun Halloween backdrop of red, black and white.
