International Expeditions’ Mail Highlights A New Key Partnership
An expedition travel provider partners with a conservation non-profit, benefiting both, as this direct mail piece shows.

The front panel of this 6”x10” self-mailer proclaims “You Are a Force of Nature.” This affirmation is overlaid on a spectacular photo of a waterfall. It becomes more like flattery on the first panel inside.
“AS A NATURE SUPPORTER,” the copy begins, “You are aware of the need to conserve and protect the resources of our planet for all its inhabitants.” It goes on to list reasons to travel with the company. For example, there’s its considerable know-how: “36 years of pioneering immersive experiences.”
Traveling with the company is a natural fit, it adds, because it also supports the work of the Nature Conservancy, which buys land to preserve wildlife habitats. As another panel says, it’s intended “to protect our wildest region for future generations.”
Travelers can save $250 each with a special response code and call to action. Mouse type explains that until the end of 2018, the company will donate 0.5% of the price for certain trips to the group.
Images of endless vistas are standard practice for many other travel marketers. But nearly all of the ones included in the interior of this mail piece – of people, animals, and plants – are on a smaller scale.
