Pamela Comrie, 2016 Marketer of Tomorrow
Every Fall, Target Marketing honors one “Marketer of the Year.” But what about other marketers doing great work in their spaces? Pamela Comrie is one of the six ascending stars selected as a "Marketer of Tomorrow."
Pamela Comrie is currently a database marketing manager at Prudential, but started her career in analytics in the insurance and banking industries.
When interviewing for a predictive modeling position at Prudential, she was recommended for an analytics position on the marketing team.
“My multi-faceted role gives me great perspective on the key drivers of our business results,” Comrie explains. “My main responsibility is evaluating campaign results and sharing insights with my strategic marketing partners that aid in the development of innovative marketing initiatives and optimization of upcoming campaigns.”
After only a short time on the job, Comrie used her skills to envision a new reporting paradigm for Prudential.
“She dedicated herself to learning a new software package at the same time she was learning about the data, and was able to connect the dots to create a powerful reporting platform that can be accessed by managers across the business to help with marketing planning,” says Prudential’s Tracy Bayer, who nominated Comrie as a “Marketer of Tomorrow.”
“For years, we had been discussing ways to blend and access historical data. Pamela was able to create a solution to link the data in new ways to provide new insights to her business partners. In addition, she managed a project that completely redesigned our segmentation approach.”
“Transforming the data into a compelling story that captures the attention of our marketing team and motivates them to act is the most rewarding part of my job,” says Comrie.
