"Content is crazy powerful,” says Justine Jordan, marketing director at Litmus. But backed with data, it's more powerful than that, she says when sitting down to talk with MarketingSherpa reporter Courtney Eckerle. Some highlights from the “How Data Can be a Huge Asset to Designers” video include:
- GIFs don't work on Outlook 2007. If email designers know that, they won't build those campaigns for those recipients. However, that's just one example of the power of data to shape email marketing campaigns, Jordan says.
- A tip: Test. Buttons, images and more should be tested before running campaigns.
