CardScan—which invented card scanners for Mac and Windows and is part of the office technology products group of Atlanta-based Newell Rubbermaid— enhanced its Mac offering with CardScan Executive for Mac 1.5 software. Those who purchased CardScan Executive for Mac that debuted in October 2008 can download a free update for the 1.5 version. As of mid-May, the updates were included in the software.
CardScan Executive for Mac 1.5 software eliminates duplicates, exports contacts directly to a spreadsheet, has a “drag and drop” from e-mails and electronic communications feature, scans cards faster and more accurately, and hooks up to CardScan At Your Service. The service provides an online backup for contact information.
CRM Optimization
Eloqua of Vienna, Va., recently announced its Prospect Profiler, the new member of the Eloqua Sales Toolkit. Prospect Profiler amasses data including Web site visits, form data, e-mail response and search activity into an easy-to-read graphical summary of customer behavior. The software integrates with Oracle, Microsoft and Salesforce.com CRM platforms.
Sales forces also can drill down to learn consumer activity during specific time periods and get all the information delivered conveniently in e-mail alerts.
Mobile Integration
Mostly, people speak on their mobile phones, but texting comes in a close second. Knotice of Akron, Ohio, noticed this and developed mobile marketing capabilities for its Concentri software in 2003. Now, an updated Concentri Mobile allows marketers to create campaigns in which customers can text queries. Concentri Mobile is integrated with digital channels, such as Web sites and business systems, which contain the answers. Concentri Mobile then sends the reformatted information back to the inquirer through a text message.
