ThinkGeek Draws You in With '100 Things We Love'
From technology to culture, it's safe to say that the geeks have inherited the Earth. Comic books, sci-fi, fantasy, computers, gaming, biotech ... there's never been a better time for enthusiasts to be proud of their interests. Capitalizing on this big shift in society, some retailers, like ThinkGeek, have built their credibility on all things nerd by offering a wide range of products. An email that dropped on Tuesday, Jan. 28, is an example of how smart companies know their customers and how to communicate with them.
According to data from Who's Mailing What!, the world's most complete library of direct mail and email, in recent months, Tuesday has been closely trailing Thursday as the biggest day of the week for email. The figures also show that the 11 a.m. hour is one of the biggest of the day; this email was received at just after 11 a.m. EST. For a breakdown of the ThinkGeek email, see the slideshow below.
