Colorful Images Popping Up in Subject Lines
Email marketers continue to use new-fangled symbols to get your attention. Hearts and stars (of all sizes) seem to be the most popular of these special symbols. However, a few emails received recently by Who's Mailing What! included colorful images in the subject lines.
For back-to-school promotions, Bon-Ton and Rosetta Stone used a green pencil; Fannie May's subject line included a colorful apple; FILA had a blue clock; and Abercrombie Kids featured a yellow school bus.
Aerie's Weather Alert promotion had blue clouds, while Express included an hour glass with reddish sand reminding the recipient they only had until midnight for savings. Vogue Knitting's subject line had two brownish leaves to promote its fall magazine.
