America’s Test Kitchen Gives Subscribers Everything They Need
In the middle of summer many loyal coffee drinkers turn in their mug of hot java for something more refreshing: cold-brew coffee. I'm definitely one of those folks who needs my coffee in the morning and enjoys brewing it myself. So, when America's Test Kitchen recently sent an email with the subject line "The Well-Equipped Cook: Everything You Need for Cold-Brew Coffee," I immediately opened it.
The email is part of a new e-newsletter series called The Well-Equipped Cook, offering "a curated collection of equipment with tips, videos, and recipes," which ties in with America's Test Kitchen's magazine — Cook's Illustrated — as well as its cookbooks, television shows and membership-driven websites.
By offering the subscriber access to unbiased product reviews, as well as relevant recipes and kitchen technique tips, America's Test Kitchen positions itself as an authority to be trusted, and the e-newsletter could be just enough to entice a subscriber to take the next step of either purchasing a magazine subscription or cookbook, or becoming a member of one of the websites.
