What makes a professional the 2019 Marketer of the Year? It’s more than them earning your respect. Target Marketing is looking for brand marketers — not vendors or agency professionals — whose careers embody everything that’s great about marketing. We also want your nominations for the brightest Rising Stars.

It’s your turn to tell us a story! Who’s the best marketer you know? We want to know, because it’s that time — 2017 Target Marketer of the Year recognition starts now! All nominations for that award — as well as for Marketing Visionaries and Up and Comers — must be in by Aug. 15.

Millennials don’t trust advertising — only 1 percent of this generation admits that a compelling ad has influenced their buying decisions. Millennials need to know you before they trust you, they want transparency and they want interaction.

In a celebration of a great year in marketing and marketing coverage, here’s a mix of content that our audience loved and that the Target Marketing team loved working on in 2016.

Target Marketing’s youngest honoree, Her Campus Media's co-founder, president and publisher Windsor Hanger Western is a publishing, media, event and e-commerce leader. The married mother says she wants to show young women that they can “have it all,” as long as their employers embrace a work-family balance — with family as the priority.

Every Fall, Target Marketing honors one “Marketer of the Year.” But what about other marketers doing great work in their spaces? We're calling this group “The Marketers of Tomorrow,” because they may not be industry vets, but their work has a greater impact than their marketing years would indicate.
