Earlier this month I was in Cleveland for Content Marketing World, where the theme was “The World of Stories.” Who doesn’t love a good story? At our core, humans are storytellers, and we are receptive to them.
Scott Stratten
Scott Stratten, the president of UnMarketing, says email is the best form of marketing, even today in 2017. In this video, Stratten discusses email marketing in the "age of disruption" and his new book "UnBranding," coming out on Oct. 23. You can also hear much more from Stratten when he keynotes Target Marketing's upcoming All About Email Virtual Conference and Expo, happening Sept. 21.
Scott Stratten, the president of UnMarketing, has lots of feelings about marketing today. Keynoter Scott Stratten told attendees at Unbounce’s Call to Action Conference that marketers need to have scruples. Because of a blog post he wrote outing the Bell executives, Canadian officials ordered employees to undergo ethics training and the company got fined $1.25 million. “Integrity is not a renewable resource,” Stratten said.
Everything is marketing. That's social media and marketing guru Scott Stratten's mantra. The Twitter personality was on stage to kick off the 2014 Retail Technology Conference and devoted a large part of his well-received talk on the misuse of QR codes. Stratten described QR codes as "the definition of retail tech gone wrong." Not because the technology itself is a loser, but because it's constantly misused and mismanaged.
