Visit Orlando’s Email Presents Lots of Travel Options
As cooler fall weather and activities take hold, an email promising an alternative stands out.
Mailer Name: Visit Orlando
Date Emailed: October 18, 2016
The subject line here gets the recipient to look ahead: “Warm Your Holiday Season with Orlando Fun and Sun.” The navigation bar provides a quick way for someone to jump to the kind of information they’re looking for. But the body of the email focuses on different ways to make a trip to Orlando more attractive. And it comes courtesy of the city’s official tourism association, representing over 1,000 companies in the hospitality industry.
First, the top section covers a few of the upcoming events and experiences in the region. Describing the joy of “shopping in shorts,” it advises “every shopinista” to “leave the coat at home.” For the NFL Pro Bowl week, “be a part of the festivities,” it urges. Each paragraph includes a button that leads to the website for more information.
Next, a smaller block showcases two offers and includes a photo for each one. A short paragraph spells out additional details, and includes a special rate or discount to further entice the traveler. Both offers click through to the website.
Finally, the bottom section gives the customer a “travel toolbox.” This set of links helps them to customize some aspects of a trip to Orlando. For example, they can download the official app, find tickets to attractions, or get car rental information. Or, for more guidance, they can order a free planning kit, or get help from the official visitors center.
Provide prospects with plenty of information and options to get their attention, and win their confidence.
