Isn't this what drives you crazy about the hype around QR Codes? "Here are the top 10 QR Code campaigns of the second quarter, in alphabetical order. The initiatives were judged on creative, form of engagement and execution. Results for the campaigns were not provided."
How can you judge a direct marketing campaign without results?
Yesterday was Quick Response Thursday on the Integrated Marketing Mix LinkedIn group, and we want to know what you think about Mobile Marketer's picks for the best mobile barcode campaigns of Q2 2012. The criteria I mentioned above are how they compiled that list.
There are some very interesting campaigns on that list, including a Marriott initiative that provides excellent information to their traveling customers, and a brilliant use of QR Codes by Toys 'R' Us to show in-store shoppers outdoor equipment that won't fit indoors.
But for me, I'm a fan of QR Codes, and I'm tired of seeing them judged on creative standards alone.
You can see the rest of what I have to say here, and we hope you'll chime in with your own thoughts as well.
