Royal Caribbean Ups Content Marketing Efficiency
For Royal Caribbean, marketing content changes at the speed of light and the crash of a wave. So the cruise line needed content marketing technology that could keep up with the needs of its fleet of 300 salespeople’s desire for up-to-the-minute PowerPoint presentations.
Royal Caribbean’s sales team had been spending hours sourcing slides, setting them up, inputting video and more.
Challenge: Increase content marketing efficiency
Solution: Shufflrr, a presentation management solution
- $3.4 million in salary savings
- 86,000 work hours saved
But once the cruise line contracted with Shufflrr in 2011 — to use its presentation management solution that helped Royal Caribbean’s marketing team create a slide library for PowerPoint, connected to Salesforce — setting up presentations took minutes instead of hours.
Royal Caribbean now saves $3.4 million a year due to this efficiency.
“It’s a one-stop shop for all of our sales managers,” says Renee Didier, a national sales training manager at Royal Caribbean International, speaking of Shufflrr in March. “They don’t have to go and look for presentations from other resources. They don’t have to create anything, because we’ve already created all of their presentations and it just lives within Shufflrr.
“So they can go and look at the many different folders and under each folder will have various presentations, such as our brand, programs, destinations, videos, shore excursions, and so on,” she continues. “They can go right into that folder and pick the information that they would like to use and download it and leverage it.”
So now, Royal Caribbean is riding a wave of content marketing efficiency to its sales goals.
