National Seminars Offers a Limited-Time Email Incentive
With schools back in session and workplaces back at full staffing, an email promoting training is likely to get some attention.
Mailer Name: National Seminars Training
Date Emailed: September 1, 2015
NST provides live and online training for both companies and individuals. But as the subject line says, it’s all “About YOU … Learn something new.” And getting “30% off seminars,” it adds. The top of the email notes that “September Is National Self-Improvement Month.”
The graphic shows an upward-pointing arrow. “It’s time to focus on you!” it urges, continuing the sentiment from the subject line. And, it reminds the prospect of the 30% discount. A bar with simple reversed-out white on black copy gives the exact deadline for responding.
Below, much of the rest of the email is taken up by listings for upcoming seminars in the prospect’s area. Listings are organized first by topic, then date and location. Links are provided for additional information and to register for these events. Each event group also includes two prices: the original and the sales price.
Another large block offers an alternative: on-site training at one’s company. Five benefits are listed. For example, “Maximum ROI: Get a maximum number of employees trained in new skills in a minimum amount of time for one flat flee.” Finally, at bottom, the email spells out instructions on how to apply the special discounts on any purchase.
To get a prospect to act, emphasize urgency and the discount they don’t want to miss.
