Local Companies QuantumDigital And Mobile Loaves & Fishes Join Forces To Make Charitable Donations More Personal And Convenient
QuantumDigital donates personalized direct mailing services; sponsors annual Mobile Loaves & Fishes’ “Uncorked” Fundraiser
AUSTIN, TX – May 6, 2008 — QuantumDigital, the complete online service provider for direct mail, on-demand digital printing and eMarketing solutions, has joined forces with Austin-based non-profit Mobile Loaves & Fishes (MLF) – a social outreach ministry to the homeless and working poor – to support fund raising by making charitable donations more convenient and personal. MLF took its campaign virtual for the first time this year significantly enhancing what they’ve done in the past.
The multi-platform campaign utilized both traditional direct mail and Personalized URLs (PURLs) in an effort to increase the convenience of making a donation via personalized Web pages on the Internet. Utilizing the combination of this new technology and traditional response channels, MLF was able to raise more than $12,000 for the organization.
“This was Mobile Loaves & Fishes’ first campaign using PURLs, and we’re pleased with the success of online donations that we’ve received,” stated Alan Graham, president of MLF. “If our community is willing to support and make donations to our organization, we want to make it as convenient as possible for them, and we hope that utilizing Personalized URLs is a step toward that goal.”
For this campaign, QuantumDigital donated printing services and mailed 76,000 pieces on a unique media type offered by Xerox called BRM – or business reply mailer – which is an 8_ x 11 inch tri-fold mailer with an attached prepaid envelope. QuantumDigital and MLF were able to personalize each BRM with a PURL (i.e. http://yournamehere.mlfnow.org) so that upon receipt of the mailer, the individual had the option to either go directly to a personalized Web page and place a donation online with only a few clicks or use the provided tear-off envelop to mail in the donation.
