Live from DMA 2011: Sunday Roundup Via Storify
It may have been technically the pre-conference portion of DMA2011 Conference & Exhibition in Boston, but Sunday saw quite a bit of activity in sessions, in the exhibit hall and online. Tweets hashtagged #dma11 and #dma2011 contained plenty of information about sessions, keynotes and more.
A few of the choice nuggets from Twitter are contained below, in what's called a Storify compilation of events. The theme of the day seemed to be customer involvement, with keynoter Christa Carone really hammering the point home by saying direct marketing should be renamed "engagement marketing." Carone, Xerox's chief marketing officer, gave attendees plenty to chew on during her luncheon speech about how direct marketers are no longer the only ones with the secret sauce. So DMers have to engage audiences in order to stand out. Some of her comments are contained below, as well as those from other speakers and other events—all seen through the eyes of attendees.
