How Ambius Has Found Success on Twitter

Results: In less than four months, Ambius increased its number of Twitter followers from 23 to over 2,000. The company also saw an increase of traffic to its corporate website.
As a leading provider of plants to the workplace and a holistic leader in employee wellness, Ambius felt its industry leadership status should be reflected on its Twitter page.
Ambius hired public relations firm Vorticom to help make this vision a reality. Vorticom created a series of communication tools designed to strengthen Ambius’ Twitter community, including tweeting compelling information, launching twitter chat sessions and following others on the social media platform relevant to its industry. These strategies helped Ambius grow its follower base.
Vorticom and Ambius first created compelling and relevant content to tweet. The goal was to inform Ambius’ followers about its status as the health and wellness leader serving the business community.
“The experience of being near lush greenery provides many beneficial effects,” said Michelle Rodwell, divisional vice president of marketing, Ambius, in a company press release. “Being around plants reduces stress and engenders a feeling of well-being in most people."
It's this type of information that Ambius wanted to get out on its Twitter page. Tweets also included job listings, environmental tips and links to articles about Ambius’ previous work.
Ambius then conducted its first live Twitter chat with Kenneth Freeman, head of Ambius University, as well as the brand's international technical director. The chat attracted many participants, who in turn became Ambius followers. Part of Ambius’ success was using Twitter as a tool to not only sell products but to also deliver relevant information its followers appreciate.
