New Arrival: InSkin Media Launches Digital Advertising Format
InSkin Media Ltd. has launched a digital advertising format that allows media owners to carry ads next to online videos without obstructing the user's view.
The Flash "skin" format, which is integrated around the video media player, can be used on premium content and user-generated video. It also records the amount of time it is viewed by users.
InSkin ads begin each time a new video or application starts and at specified intervals during long-form video content, which differs from the current mid-roll advertising that is commonly used.
The technology, which also works for user-generated widget applications, enables advertisers to add interactive features such as promotional videos, animated expansion banners, games, data capture, RSS data feeds, product downloads and purchases, and basic click-through.
