Infographic: Buyers on Tumblr
No. 3 Disney and No. 8 Barnes & Noble already know what some marketers are finding out about Tumblr. Ninety percent of the social media site's users have been inspired to buy what they've seen on their dashboards, according to the Tumblr Advisory Panel.
In Curalate's infographic, at right, Holiday 2014's "most engaged" marketers are getting in ahead of the news.
On. Dec. 2, TechCrunch reports "Tumblr Now Has 'Buy,' 'Pledge,' And 'Get Involved' Buttons From Etsy, Kickstarter, Artsy + Do Something."
"Of the 50,000 product images Curalate looked at, the No. 1 … image based on organic engagement is a photo of Nike's Roche running shoe, which ties back to Nordstrom," according to a Curalate release on Wednesday about the infographic, featured in full in the second image on the media player at right.
Other findings from Curalate are:
- 76 percent of Tumblr users plan on spending the same or more this holiday season vs. last holiday season
- 70 percent of Tumblr users get gift ideas from their dashboard
- 43 percent of Tumblr users plan on holiday shopping for more than 10 people this year
