6 Reasons You're NOT Increasing Online Traffic & Conversions
There's no getting around it: It's a jungle in cyberspace. Each online marketer bows to the 800-pound Google Gorilla, trying to please The Beast so as to reach the equivalent of top-of-the searches nirvana. Even though this seemingly endless battle between Good and Evil continues daily (sorry, I couldn't resist the comparison, dear reader), there is the inconvenient truth: You should always continue to use other lower cost best practices.
In reality, it's the little things you do that can help drive more targeted traffic, keep it, analyze it — and further serve your customers. Here are six reasons you're not increasing online traffic ... and grabbing more market share.
1. You don't know what your competition is doing.
Do you really want to own your space? Do you want to capture more market share? Well, are you looking at what your competition is doing?
You should ... because they're watching you! You must know your own industry and know who is taking customers away from you. Study your competition's website and notice their strengths and weaknesses and capitalize on it.
Create a strong USP (Unique Selling Proposition) that makes you and your company stand out in your customer's mind. Even if you already have one, is it resonating with your target audience? Tweak or overhaul it, and then test it.

2. You don't give people as many ordering options as possible.
Give your prospect every possible way to order from you. Yes, accept credit cards, checks, money orders and other forms of electronic payments. Take orders by phone, email, website, fax, mail, pigeons with notes attached. In other words: Make it easy for your customer to give you their money! Give your customer EVERY viable option to do business with you and not say no!
