New Arrival: FastCall Unveils Local-Search Product
San Diego, Calif.-based local search firm FastCall411 (www.fastcall411.com) has unveiled a local-search product that uses artificial intelligence, VoIP, open-source Asterisk and parallel dialing to recommend the most relevant merchants to searchers, then calls as many as needed to connect the consumer to an available business.
FastCall411 says it uses a different data set and criteria than traditional search engines that, for example, license old data from the Yellow Pages and rank those merchants based on proximity.
Consumers can access FastCall411 via the Web or mobile devices by selecting a category (locksmith, plumber, mechanic, etc.) and entering their ZIP code and call-back number. Within seconds, FastCall411 says, an automated dialing application calls merchants in the searched category until it can connect the consumer to a relevant merchant who is both available and interested in providing the service.
The FastCall411 service, provided free to the consumer, is underwritten by participating merchants. The first business that indicates availability is instantly connected to the consumer, securing a viable and potentially valuable business opportunity that might not have otherwise come its way.
