Email Marketing Failures Aren't 'The End' [Video]

Marketers should be realistic about their expectations from a technology investment and their own capabilities, says Preston Wily, president of Sewell. Define the goals for the technology with the team and any potential providers, he tells MarketingSherpa reporter Courtney Eckerle. "I think if people do that, they'll mostly likely make the right decision," Wily says. More highlights from the “Buying vs Building Technology: Which is Right for You?” video include:
- Don't be afraid of failure, marketers can learn a lot from it, Wily says.
- Ask customers what they think about the technology, he says. The customer relationship is key and customers have to trust marketers in order to share their thoughts, he says.
