E-mail Certification Boosts Profits
Marketers who use e-mail certification solutions generate 38 percent higher profits than their noncertified peers, according to a new research study from Goodmail Systems, an e-mail certification solutions provider.
Key findings of the study include the following:
* 68 percent of certified respondents enjoy conversion rates of 3 percent or more, compared to just 40 percent of noncertifiers. E-mail drives 3.1 percent or more of overall sales for 88 percent of marketers who use certification and just 52 percent of those not certified.
* Marketers using e-mail certification are more likely to include four images or more in their e-mail templates and employ list segmentation and dynamically generated content to construct their e-mails.
* Spam and e-mail phishing attacks (53 percent) as well as e-mail and image blocking (45 percent) were cited by marketers as the biggest challenges they'll face over the next 12 months. Forty percent are worried about the poor economic environment.
