Digital Pioneer Chris Lyons Joins NAPCO Media as President/Chief Revenue Officer of Marketing and Retail Brands
From NAPCO Media:
PHILADELPHIA, April 30, 2015 — NAPCO Media, a leading B-to-B media company, today announced that Chris Lyons has joined the company as President/Chief Revenue Officer of the Marketing and Retail sector, whose brands include Target Marketing, Retail Online Integration (ROI), Direct Marketing IQ, Who's Mailing What!, and eMarketing + Commerce.
Lyons first worked at NAPCO Media from 1986-1991 as Associate Publisher on Printing Impressions Magazine before leaving to launch Printer's Periscope—the first B2B online media company in the world. Printer's Periscope was later sold to Reed Elsevier, where Lyons rose to the role of Group Publisher. A serial entrepreneur, Lyons started Lyons Media in 2008 with two B-to-B magazines—Package Design Magazine and RFID Product News Magazine—that were later sold to ST Media Group. Recruited by Eastman Kodak in 2010, Lyons served in various roles in their worldwide marketing organization.
"I am delighted to be returning to NAPCO Media—a company that has transformed itself from the legacy print publishing company I once knew to the dynamic media and multi-faceted company it is today," said Lyons. "For close to 40 years, Target Marketing and ROI have been reporting on, and putting into context, marketing technologies and trends for marketers across every vertical industry. With a proliferation of disruptive technologies impacting the industry, it couldn't be a more exciting time to join this exceptionally talented and driven team."
Lyons will be replacing Peggy Hatch who, after 23 years of building the marketing and retail sector to the market leader it is today, is moving to a Senior Advisory role at NAPCO Media focusing on new corporate e-commerce and data initiatives.
"We are excited to welcome Chris back to the NAPCO Media family," said Dave Leskusky, President. "He is a proven leader and entrepreneur who possesses that rare combination of strategic vision with effective execution skills to turn vision into reality. I look forward to working with him to build on the foundation that Peggy established."
