Bank of America’s Email Eases Customer Fears
Your customers have a lot on their minds, but some well-timed email can remove one barrier that keeps them from buying.
Mailer Name: Bank of America
Date Emailed: October 21, 2015
Identity security has been an ongoing concern for several years. With the holiday season (and increased card use) on the horizon, those worries are magnified. Bank of America reached out to its cardholders in this email in an attempt to assure them that they were protected when shopping.
“Security is our number one priority,” the pre-header text claims. “Use your card with confidence during the holidays,” the first headline urges. The first paragraph teases “advanced security features,” and includes a button to immediately find out more on the website.
Each is only a few sentences long, and includes a pictograph that aids the reader in identifying the feature being described. There’s also a link to the website for each one for further information.
When addressing the potential concerns of customers, it’s better to address them head-on and with lots of proof that you have the answers.
