In early 2014, time spent on the internet via mobile apps surpassed time spent on the internet via desktops, according to data from comScore. However, this doesn't just mean that consumers are logging in to their favorite social media apps or checking email; the vast majority are accessing content and information, and many are making purchases.
So, how does your mobile marketing stack up? In a recently published infographic, Formstack identified five mobile marketing mistakes, ranging from a failure to optimize for tablets — which are positioned for a 54 percent growth rate — to a lackluster call to action. With average smartphone conversion rates up 64 percent compared to the average desktop rates, it's clear that marketers can no longer ignore mobile anymore. If they do, they'll go the way of the dinosaurs.
