10 Most Popular Tools in Marketing Stacks
We’ve talked about the sheer number of marketing technologies being released in previous issues, but we haven’t gotten into who’s using what before. In fact, “Who’s using what?” can be a hard question to answer.
So for our final issue of 2016, we wanted to try to figure out what technologies have been the most popular. And for that, we went back to CabinetM.
CabinetM helped us assemble the marketing Technology Universe poster in the July/August issue. The website catalogs all of the marketing technologies and tools being released, and also allows marketers to build “MyStacks,” which show the technologies they’re using in their marketing stacks and how they fit together.
Anita Brearton, founder and CEO of CabinetM, poured over those stacks to get an idea of what the most used technologies have been since it was released earlier this year. She found that, “marketing stacks tend to be anchored by large marketing and sales automation platforms from industry leaders, and then surrounded with a plethora of functionally specific products.”
According to Brearton, these are the “anchor MarTech companies that show up over and over again” among CabinetM MyStacks profiles, including excerpts of their descriptions to give you an idea of what marketers see in them.
