August 2007A recent Harris Interactive survey reports that 35 percent of consumers pay bills online. Now, mobile bill pay is making online payments even easier. Cyphermint recently partnered with financial services company Fidelity Express to provide mobile bill payment services through PayCash Mobile via Fidelity XpressPay. After registering at www.paycashmobile.com, consumers can initiate a payment from their cell phones or schedule a mobile bill pay alert. When a payment is due, customers receive an alert and can pay with a single click from a Fidelity mWallet, or mobile wallet, account managed from any cell phone, personal computer or PayCash-enabled kiosk. Funding options include preloading the mWallet account via direct deposit, credit card or ACH transfer-loading.

Coding Accuracy
Anchor Software has released its Address Enhancement Processing (AEP) system, slated to increase postage discounts and reduce undeliverable-as-addressed mail, for use with its CASS-certified solution, MaxCASS. Using an extensive name and address database, AEP corrects and standardizes addresses that don’t initially match the USPS’ ZIP+4 database. In addition, the program
corrects or adds secondary address lines, such as apartment and suite numbers, for addresses in high-rise buildings. According to Anchor, this can result in an additional 1 percent to 3 percent increase for each file passed through MaxCASS a second time.

Holistic Marketing
Experian recently announced the launch of its system that provides a holistic approach to managing customer interactions. The system involves a more efficient user interface and reporting options via an updated Marketswitch Optimization solution. This 5.0 version has enhanced features to more effectively configure and define complex customer contact rules, and “to optimize the recency, sequencing and frequency of each customer contact,” according to Experian.
