We've launched Marketing's Best Blogs. OK, it doesn't actually have all of marketing's best blogs yet. To make it that, we need your help.
First some backstory: We were at DMA 2011 while working on this issue. One of the things you can't help but notice there is just how much knowledge in the direct marketing industry is developed, tested, perfected and eventually shared by its practitioners. Who delivers the best sessions at these conferences? It's not the thought leaders, it's the marketers who talk about what's working for them.
Direct marketing is a practical science. If you want to know how to do it, your best bet is still to find marketers already doing it and talk to them. That's what makes marketing blogs so interesting. The best ones are an outpouring of ideas and experience from people who are in it up to their elbows.
Until now, we haven't really tapped into that at Target Marketing, but we're changing that today.
Marketing's Best Blogs is a new website that will be home to a fresh slate of Target Marketing bloggers. Our opening roster includes:
- Jeff Molander: Making Social Sell
- Chet Dalzell: Marketing Sustainably
- Wendy Montes De Oca: Muscle Marketing
- Ken Magill: The Whole Magilla
- Rio Longacre: Who's Your Data?
In addition, we're collecting the best blog feeds on direct mail, online marketing, social media, mobile, B-to-B, database/CRM, email and copywriting/creative. Stop by to check them out, and you just might find a new guru.
But, as I said, we need your help to really make this Marketing's Best Blogs. We have assembled some bloggers and some great blog feeds. Are they the best? Who are we leaving out? You can give each post a thumbs up or down, and suggest new blogs or bloggers for us to bring on board right on the site. Help us make this site into Marketing's Best Blogs for You.
