Inbound Marketing Leads Cost 61% Less

According to an infographic recently published by marketing automation firm Salesfusion, many prospects have become immune to typical marketing messages. If you want to convert leads into customers, you need to put yourself out there as a trusted resource, backed by carefully created content that prospects want and need as they do their own research for solutions.

The infographic—backed by sources from the Content Marketing Institute, Weidert Group and more—offers some interesting insights for marketers on the fence about investing time and money on inbound marketing. Some key takeaways from the infographic include:
  • Well-executed inbound marketing has shown conversion rates to be 10 times higher than that of typical outbound marketing.
  • While content marketing challenges such as the process being too labor intensive or time consuming are indeed hurdles, the tactic of repurposing existing content in new ways for different audiences is a viable solution. This helps the marketer build an asset library to draw from.
  • The four most popular inbound channels marketers are focusing on are: social media, search engine optimization (SEO), email and blogging.
