How Is Email Changing in 2012?
While I don't see SMS (or QR codes, for that matter) continuing to play an important marketing role, channels are constantly evolving. It will be interesting to watch how social and mobile morph into key digital marketing components. We're not there yet—for example, few marketers have been able to make e-commerce really work on social sites—but these channels are still new, and business models will change.
